A mixture of freezing rain, sleet and snow will begin before daybreak Monday and continue during the day.
This mix will consist of rather little snow, perhaps enough sleet to bring a coating to an inch, and a glaze of freezing rain.
Untreated surfaces will be slippery Monday morning but conditions should gradually improve as temperatures moderate to the lower 30s during the early afternoon.
A fresh batch of cold air will follow this system so any wet or slushy area will re-freeze Monday evening and night.
